International Operations (IO) supports the University of Maryland, Baltimore community to engage internationally in education, research, and service.

Through the Global Hub, International Operations provides specialized services to 海角官方首页 units in support of international travel, safety and security, procurement, finance, human resources, compliance, and other operational areas. As partners in the Global Hub, International Operations and the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) work together to ensure seamless support of 海角官方首页’s global activities.

International Operations sets 海角官方首页 standards for international operations and oversees operational compliance. Across all of its work, International Operations facilitates and promotes robust risk management.

International Operations activates the Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation (MGIC), a 海角官方首页 affiliate charged with supporting 海角官方首页's international activities and projects, when MGIC’s specialized engagement is necessary, including when a sustained international presence is required in the form of dedicated personnel, physical office space, a bank account, or similar infrastructure outside the US.
